The Operations Support Technician is responsible for supporting the Manufacturing Operations team in the development and improvement of production processes, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of equipment and fixturing, basic defect disposition, and other duties as assigned.
Primary Activites
Assist in developing the processes for the manufacturing of a product
Train manufacturing personnel
Assist in developing engineering and manufacturing documentation including the creation of procedures, test protocols, and reports.
Assist in the execution of qualification and validation protocols.
Assist in the maintenance of existing LivaNova equipment.
Troubleshoot equipment issues, order supplies as needed, and facilitate its repair or replacement
Assist in relocation and installation of equipment.
Assist in the development and implementation of process improvement
Perform product disposition and generate non-conformance reports.
Maintain accurate documentation
Perform validation and/or verification testing
Provide feedback on tools, fixtures, and equipment design iterations and concept evaluations
Assist with the process of purchasing equipment, spare and/or supplies
Additional Activities
Develop or update operational procedures, work instructions, maintenance procedures, equipment specifications, and qualification/validation documentation.
Generate programs in equipment such as measuring systems or production equipment
Execute and lead maintenance activities and train others on maintenance activities
Execute equipment installation qualifications and support engineering qualification/validation.
Capable of coordinating and leading equipment installation or relocation.
Travel Requirements
This position may require business travel.
Minimum Qualifications
High School graduate or equivalent is required, a technical degree or certificate preferred
One or more years of experience in a manufacturing/assembly environment
Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and sketches containing English or metric units
Experience with using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and/or coordinate measurement machines
Ability to perform required operations safely without endangering self or coworkers
Good analytical aptitude
Good written and verbal communication skills
Good interpersonal skills
Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint)
Specifically involved with the manufacturer of implantable electronic devices and/or leads for the pacemaker or neurostimulation industries, preferred
Additional Information:
Location: Clear Lake, TX (Southeast Houston area)
Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 6:30a - 5:00p, with potential for overtime on Fridays (potential to work a standard 5 day work week)
Pay Transparency: A reasonable estimate of the hourly rate for this position is $25 - $35 per hour discretionary annual bonus. Pay ranges may vary by location.
