Physicians and Physician Assistants Needed!

Would you like to help Marylanders get good quality healthcare? Would you like to learn things to do and not to do in your specialty? Would you like to earn a few bucks on the side doing this?

Those are the three main reasons to contact Livanta about becoming a peer reviewer as part of our Maryland Department of Health Board of Physicians (MBOP) contract.

1. You get to work from home or the office, on your own time.

2. You will be reviewing medical records, depositions, and other materials regarding a complaint or other investigation that is being conducted about someone in your specialty.

3. You will be rendering an opinion on 1-11 charts about whether the care rendered met standards and whether the practitioner kept adequate medical records.

4. Livanta provides all training, cloud-based computer applications, templates, and sample completed cases for you, plus access 24/7 to an IT professional to help you with getting set up in our system, which allows all work to be done electronically and securely.

5. You get paid a flat fee per completed case after the state approves your report and after Livanta gets paid for the work.

This is consulting work (1099) that is to help with the Quality of care in Maryland. This is a great chance to help the State in keeping the quality of care high.

1. You need to have been licensed in Maryland for at least 5 years.

2. You need to have been in clinical practice in your specialty for at least five years post residency and post fellowship.

3. You need to have an active practice in Maryland seeing patients in Maryland a) at least eight hours per week or b) the majority of your practice time.

4. You need to be free of pending actions, potential actions, or exclusions.

5. You have to be willing to testify about your reports (involves additional pay if it happens).
