Responsibilities
Where You'll Make an Impact:
- Responsible for leading and managing the planning, controlling, communicating and implementing procedures and processes for the overall efficient operations of Maintenance department.
- Manages contract and relationship with third party contractors providing service for Live! Casino and Hotel. Must ensure team members of contractor provide the same standard of service to Live! Casino & Hotel guests as provided by Live! Casino & Hotel team members. Service and processes must be seamless
- Prepare and effectively manage department budge, strategic plan, and overall energy efficient plan.
- Establishes standards of performance. Ensures standards of quality, teamwork and customer services across departmental lines. Live! Casino & Hotel will be maintained at the highest level of operations, repair and cleanliness.
- Ensures safety and security of guests and team members. Manages programs and processes to control and reduce loss-time injuries.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Strong knowledge and experience in electrical, plumping, HVAC, carpentry, construction, finishes, and energy efficient utilities.
- Adherence to deadlines in an interruptive environment.
- Broad variety of tasks and deadlines requiring an irregular work schedule.
- Active involvement in a leadership role in Live! Casino & Hotel sponsored community actives.
- Ability to analyze and interpret departmental needs and results.
- Ability to recognize and solve complex problems.
- Ability to effectively manage people, processes and procedures.
Must-Haves:
- Requires a four (4)-year college degree or equivalent work experience.
- Seven (7) to ten (10) years’ experience in managing or supervising large, complex commercial facility inclusive of line and staff team members in each of the functional areas: Maintenance; Construction, Trades, Energy efficiency programs.
- You will be exposed to an alcohol and smoking environment and must be able to work in such environment.
- Must have the ability to secure and maintain licensure as required by Louisiana Gaming Control Board or any other applicable regulatory entity as may be required to perform assigned duties, or as required by Live’s operating standards.
- Ability to stand and ability to sit for long periods of time.
- Ability to use hands and fingers to handle and feel; use hands and arms to reach, legs and feet to balance, stoop, kneel or crouch
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 40 lbs and infrequently lift and/or move up to 40 lbs
- Ability to regularly utilize sufficient vision or other powers of observation to review documents and computer screens and organize documents and materials.
