The Purchasing/Warehouse Leader is responsible and accountable for the acquisition of all equipment and supplies and maintaining the standards and control for inventory needed for all departments. The Leader is also responsible for management of the warehouses on and offsite.
Responsibilities (Text Only)
Where You'll Make an Impact: - Develops and manages the budget for the Purchasing/Warehouse department. - Responsible for ordering all supplies and equipment for Petersburg Live! Casino, and administrative offices. - Responsible for accurate inventory control. Maintain the Inventory system based on all movement into/out of warehouse locations. - Consulting and advising department heads on decisions for equipment and supplies. - Identify, quantify, research and resolve inventory issues as they arise, and communicate the results of such. - Reviews and approves requisitions. - Negotiating with vendors to procure the best price and quickest service for equipment and supplies. Manages the preparation of purchase orders and/or bid requests. - Review bid proposals and negotiate contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority. - Management of staff, to include training, interviewing for new hires, and conducting performance management evaluation. - Manages purchasing and warehousing processes, procedures to control and reduce loss time injuries. - Review purchasing department activities with CFO. - Coordinate with affiliated Cordish Company properties to generate and leverage company-wide strategic sourcing contract opportunities. - Create Minority/Women/Local business opportunity purchasing goals and develop strategies to achieve those goals. Develop and maintain strong relationships with regulators that oversee MBE/WBE/LBE process. - Other duties as assigned. Skills to Help You Succeed: - Ability to analyze and interpret departmental needs and results. - Ability to solve complex problems. - Ability to input data on computer to create a daily inventory report, routine administrative paperwork. - Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressures in an interruptive environment. - Ability to maintain mental concentration for significant periods of time. - Ability to read, sort, check, count, and verify numbers. Knowledge of postal or commercial shipping methods and procedures. - Ability to understand and follow safety procedures. - Knowledge of Alcohol Beverage Control laws for local area. - Knowledge of Health regulations, applicable OSHA regulations and Gaming regulations. - Ability to lead, guide, and train employees performing related work. - Broad variety of tasks and deadlines requires an irregular work schedule. - Experience with an AS400 / Stratton-Warren inventory environment beneficial. - Ability to manage subordinate team members and interact and develop outstanding working relationships with members of the Gaming and Non-Gaming Operations, Marketing, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and other Administrative departments, as well as the Executive Team.Qualifications

- Must have the ability to secure and maintain licensure as required by Virginia Gaming Control Board or any other applicable regulatory entity as may be required to perform assigned duties, or as required by Live’s operating standards.
