Job Summary
Live Life at Home is seeking compassionate and dedicated caregivers to provide essential home care services to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. Our caregivers ensure the comfort, safety, and well-being of our clients while adhering to California Department of Social Services (CDSS) regulations and California labor laws.
Key Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Help clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support.
- Companionship & Emotional Support: Engage clients in conversation, accompany them to appointments, and provide emotional reassurance.
- Medication Reminders: Assist with medication schedules and ensure compliance with prescribed regimens (without administering medication).
- Meal Preparation & Nutrition Support: Prepare and serve meals according to dietary needs and preferences.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and safe living environment by assisting with laundry, dishes, and tidying up.
- Safety & Fall Prevention: Monitor clients for signs of distress or hazards, ensuring a safe home environment.
- Transportation Assistance: Provide or arrange transportation for medical appointments, errands, and social outings.
- Observation & Reporting: Document and report changes in clients’ physical or mental conditions to supervisors and family members.
- Compliance with State Regulations: Follow all CDSS guidelines, California labor laws, and company policies regarding caregiving practices.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old or of legal working age in California.
- Experience in caregiving, home health, or a related field is a plus but not required—we provide training!
- Ability to pass a background check and provide valid identification.
- TB test clearance and compliance with California health requirements.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license (preferred but not required for all positions).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A compassionate, patient, and responsible attitude toward caregiving.
