What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aquaponics Farm Hand (Entry Level) position at Live Local Organic?
Live Local Organic is an aquaponics farm with a mission of providing locally grown, high quality, organic produce to the Northwest. We are looking for somebody comfortable working closely with a small team, in a start-up environment.
Currently Seeking: Farm Hand
Hours: 7:00am - 4:00pm, Monday through Friday
Pay: $18/hour
Job Duties Include:
- Transplanting seedlings
- Seed preparation
- Harvesting and packaging produce
- 2 Delivery Routes per week (Monday and Thursday)
- Maintaining excellent relationships with customers
- Other duties as assigned
We are a small team of 10, and all job duties are done together as a team, so we are really looking for somebody who can fit in well with our culture, and loves to contribute.
Job Requirements:
- Current and valid drivers license
- Ability to stand for 8 hours per day
- Ability to bend and reach over grow beds that stand 3 feet high
- Coachability and excellent communication skills
Preferred:
- Experience in farming or commercial plant production
- Experience gardening
- Experience making commercial deliveries
- Multi lingual (Mandarin Chinese and Spanish especially)
