Residential Driver safely navigates a heavy-duty truck through neighborhoods collecting garbage from residential homes. They will also swap positions with another driver and dump residential carts. Responsibilities :
- Safely operate a heavy-duty truck through neighborhoods in Bossier City, LA, US to collect garbage from residential homes.
- Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned equipment following Live Oak Environmental Company, LLC Safety Rules, OSHA, and DOT requirements.
- Report any unsafe situations, incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage to the Operations Supervisor or Dispatch promptly.
- Attend and actively participate in scheduled training programs, briefings, and meetings as required.
- Collaborate with the Operations Supervisor to enhance route efficiencies and identify best practices.
- Notify Operations Supervisor or Dispatch of service interruptions, blocked containers, closed lots, or potential safety hazards.
- Communicate customer requests effectively to Operations Supervisor or Dispatch.
- Identify and report all containers in need of repair or replacement promptly.
- Complete and submit customer tickets as necessary.
- Follow route assignments diligently, complete end-of-day documentation, and the checkout process.
- Assist other drivers as directed to meet customer needs efficiently. Qualifications : To qualify for the position of Residential Subscription Driver in Bossier City, LA, US, the following qualifications are required :
- Education is not mandatory for this role.
- A minimum of two (2) years of prior experience operating a vehicle that necessitates a CDL is essential.
- Holding a current Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License with an air brake endorsement is mandatory.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
- An acceptable driving record is a prerequisite.
- Candidates must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Successful completion of pre-employment DOT drug screening and DOT physical examination is required. Compensation : $22 hourly
