What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Project Estimator position at Live Systems, LLC?

Live Systems, LLC. is on the hunt for a committed and determined Estimator to add to its team. This position is full time and the successful candidate will be required to report to the office daily.

Project Estimator Qualifications :

Estimator should have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Estimator should have at least a 2 year college degree or trade degree. ( Not required but preferred .)
Estimator should have excellent communication skills.
Estimator should have prior or current field experience in Electrical installations. ( Not required but preferred .)
Estimator should have a working knowledge of commercial, residential and industrial installation practices.
Estimator should have a working knowledge of how Electrical systems operate.
Estimator should have working knowledge of how to read and interpret plans and specifications.
Estimator should have some estimating experience. Preferably with Conest Intellibid but experience in general is preferred.
Estimator should have reliable transportation and be willing to attend Pre-Bid meetings at various locations in the DFW Metroplex if necessary.

Project Estimator Position Duties :

Estimator will be responsible for all software takeoff.

Estimator will be responsible for counting light fixtures, devices, disconnects, switches and all applicable material related to the project bid.

Estimator will be responsible for accurately estimating conduit runs. Branch and feeder.

Estimator will be responsible for accurately completing each project bid summary prior to submission.

Estimator will be responsible for creating bid files and downloading all applicable drawings and specifications.

Estimator will be responsible for reading all applicable project specifications and incorporating them into the bid.

Estimator will be responsible for creating a detailed scope of work and applying it to Live Systems proposal template.

Estimator will be responsible for maintaining relationships with suppliers.

Estimator will be responsible for maintaining relationships with current and future General Contractor Pre-Construction Department(s).

Estimator will be responsible for obtaining feedback from General Contractors related to bids they have submitted.

Estimator will be responsible for negotiating with suppliers prior to the project bid date to obtain most competitive pricing possible.

Estimator will be prompt with bid submission and submit bids prior to bid deadline.

Estimator will be prompt with email responses related to project bids.

Estimator will be responsible for compiling feedback and information related to bids submitted and report directly to the VP of Pre-Construction weekly.

Salary : $45,000 - $55,000
