Position Summary : This position serves as the Subject Matter Expert in Occupational Health, Safety, and Security within the EHS Team for the Project Management Office. Works within the Arcadium Lithium Capital Projects System (ALCAPS) and Global EHS Management Systems to support continual improvement and create an incident and injury free work environment. Ensures all project locations effectively implement the Health, Safety and Security provisions of Arcadium Lithium Capital Projects Standards (ALCAPS). Responsible for ensuring all regulatory and corporate reporting requirements in the areas of Health, Safety, and Security for global expansion work are completed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Provides, sustains, and improves ALCAPS Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Procedures, Templates and Tools used by project teams to provide a safe work environment and ensure compliance to regulatory requirements around the globe.
- Supports project management teams to ensure local policies, procedures, and programs effectively meet ALCAPS EHS and Corporate requirements.
- Provide Subject Matter Expertise to support regional project personnel as needed to achieve an injury / incident free work environment.
- Leads implementation of Portfolio-level or Corporate EHS initiatives as required.
- Lead and manage Contract Service Resources as necessary to support global EHS activities.
- Provides investigation leadership, expertise, and coordination as required for regional project teams.
- Participates in onsite field audits of project locations and ensures adequate follow-up and remedy for issues identified.
- Assures timely and accurate reporting of EHS metrics for projects
- Provides advice regarding the development and implementation of formal and informal audit and assurance processes.
- Stays current on developing trends and state-of-the-art solutions for EHS matters.
- Supports the project management teams and Project Management Office leadership in development of EHS improvement plans.
- Provides expertise and support for the development of project-level and portfolio-level leading and lagging Key Performance Indicators to enable measurement, analysis, planning, and improvement.
- Support training as required for EHS for personnel at all levels of the organization.
- Supports consultation and engagement with regional project teams for the continuous improvement of the ALCAPS EHS work process.
