Position Summary : The Instrumentation, Automation and Controls SME (Subject Matter Expert) will be a member of the Arcadium Lithium Global Project Management Office (PMO) Engineering team and will be responsible for instrumentation, controls and automation systems development, design and installation on current and future Arcadium projects.
You will prepare technical procedures, standards and templates for the design, purchase, construction, and installation of electrical, instrumentation and automation components and systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Develops and standardizes instrumentation, control, and automation procedures for Arcadium Lithium projects.
- Collaborates with project teams, EPC contractors, and equipment suppliers to ensure consistency in control systems.
- Works with operations to develop a global operations management and control system for future projects.
- Investigates, tests, and specifies instrumentation application solutions.
- Collaborates with electrical distribution experts to implement best practices and ensure equipment compliance.
- Ensures project procedures align with applicable processes, codes, and standards.
- Works with project management and procurement to qualify vendors and contractors based on technical and performance capabilities.
- Coordinates the application of PMO electrical and instrumentation procedures and standards in capital projects.
- Reviews I&C (instrumentation and control) designs and ensures compliance with standards, processes, and codes.
- Develops I&C design packages and supports project documentation.
- Leads contractor coordination, ensures equipment installation meets specifications, and ensures compliance with safety and environmental standards.
