We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Technical Director to lead the club into its next phase of growth.
Position Overview
The Technical Director will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and execution of all soccer-related programs within the club. This role requires a highly organized, professional, positive individual, with extensive knowledge of the soccer landscape in the US, player development, coaching and club management. The ideal candidate enjoys working closely with coaches, administration, players, and parents to ensure that the club’s technical philosophy and standards are adhered to across all levels and programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Development & Implementation: Evaluate, analyze, develop, and implement new and existing programs while exploring new initiatives.
- Coaching Education & Support: Provide coaching education and mentorship for club coaches and . Conduct regular education sessions and clinics for coaches.
- Evaluation: Complete evaluations ofcoaching staff and age group directors as guided by Executive Director.
- Player Development: Oversee the long-term player development pathway, ensuring players receive the necessary resources and opportunities to grow technically, tactically, and physically.
- Club Technical Philosophy: Establish and maintain the Fusion playing style and philosophy across the club.
- Team Management: Collaborate with team coaches and Directors to provide guidance on player performance, tactical development, and team goals.
- Tryouts, Recruitment & Scouting: Lead Club tryouts and support the recruitment of new players with our marketing team and coaches. Oversee player evaluations and identification of potential talent.
- Communication & Collaboration: Work closely with the Executive Director to ensure alignment on club goals, vision, and strategies.
- Club Events & Competitions: Oversee club clinics, camps, and other special soccer events. Ensure teams are well-prepared for league and tournament play.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure that all coaching practices adhere to safety standards and that coaches maintain proper certifications and background checks.
Qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years coaching experience at the competitive youth level or higher.
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Director of Coaching or Technical Director.
- Experience working with Players across a variety of age groups, genders, and skill levels.
- Understanding of the US Soccer playing platforms, levels of play, elite programs, and college pathway.
Education/Certifications:
- USSF A License (or equivalent international certification) is required, non-negotiable
- Additional coaching education and certifications preferred.

- Strong understanding of modern soccer tactics, training methodologies, and player development strategies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate with Directors, Coaches, Players, and Families in a positive and constructive manner.
- Ability to evaluate Directors and Coach performance and provide feedback in a clear and effective manner.
- Passion for soccer and dedication to fostering youth development.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
