Position Summary
The Industrial Millwright is responsible for ongoing and preventative feed mill maintenance objectives. This position will report directly to the Location Facility manager, as well as support the requests of the Project Manager.
Responsibilities
Repair & replace components on old & new conveying and milling equipment.
Use all senses to identify potential and current issues with equipment daily to ensure optimal plant operations.
Perform walkthroughs on an as needed basis through all facilities.
Train inexperienced labor as needed to perform work/repairs (as applicable).
Fabricate components in an outdoor setting, including welding, torching, cutting, measuring, etc.
Assemble and install machinery.
Oversee preventive maintenance by performing inspections, greasing, and identifying and correcting issues
Work in full compliance with approved safety regulations, including but not limited to LOTO Permit, Hot Work Permit, Confined Space Permit, and other safety policies.
Work with outside contractors as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
Minimum 5 years of experience as a proficient Millwright.
Experience working with equipment likely to be found at a grain elevator and/or feed mill operations. Including but not limited to chain conveyors, belt conveyors, bucket elevators, augers, mixers, etc.
Must have a team player attitude.
Ability to perform duties in dirty, dusty environments, outdoors year-round.
Must be proficient in steel fabrication.
Proficient in trouble-shooting techniques to solve machine issues.
Ability to do root cause analysis and determining corrective action.
Must be fluent in English.
Safety minded.
Basic computer skills.
Basic electrical and hydraulic skills.
Ability to work some nights, weekends, and holidays.
