Job Summary
We are seeking a Director of Centralized Scheduling to lead our in-house scheduling department, overseeing scheduling operations across multiple facilities. This role will be responsible for ensuring optimal staffing coverage, reducing reliance on agency staff, and streamlining scheduling processes to support our nursing teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the centralized scheduling team, ensuring timely and accurate staffing for all facilities.
- Develop and implement efficient scheduling strategies that align with census fluctuations, labor budgets, and company policies.
- Collaborate with facility administrators, schedulers, and HR teams to anticipate staffing needs and proactively address gaps.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and any applicable union agreements.
- Oversee scheduling software and processes to optimize efficiency and reduce last-minute staffing shortages.
- Monitor staffing metrics to identify trends, improve workflows, and enhance employee satisfaction.
- Implement and enforce policies regarding overtime, call-offs, and shift incentives.
- Train and mentor the centralized scheduling team to enhance performance and accountability.
Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare staffing and scheduling, preferably in skilled nursing or long-term care.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of managing scheduling teams.
- Proficiency in scheduling software and workforce management tools.
- Ability to analyze staffing data and adjust scheduling strategies accordingly.
