What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacy Technician position at LIVEWELL PHARMACY?
- Supports pharmacological services by stocking, assembling, and distributing medications.
- Enter and maintain prescription data using our computer system
- Answer incoming phone calls and field patient questions
- Contact doctor’s offices or hospitals to clarify prescription information
- Disburse completed and confirmed prescriptions to patients
- Answer patient questions and address customer service issues when they arise
- Assist the pharmacist with maintaining the ongoing medication inventory and place medication orders when instructed
- Sort, stock, label medication and monitor inventory
- Undertake administrative tasks (e.g. record-keeping) as assigned
- Comply with all security measures and quality standards
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Perform weekly will-call bag check
- Daily will-call verify and contact patients to pick up the prescription
- Review prescription and OTC department inventory and remove expire/near expire medication beginning of every month
