Reports to: Builder Manager
Compensation: $15.00 - $21.00
Job Summary:
Duties include installation of low voltage communication, security, audio and central vac wiring within new residential and multi-family construction. Other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Installation of communication, security, audio and central vac wiring within new residential construction
Placement of cans, boxes and HUBs along with ground wire and fire seal as necessary
Termination of voice, data, video cables at distribution location and on jacks in the residence
Tone, test and label voice, data and video cables at distribution location and residence jacks
Termination and testing of audio equipment (speakers, volume controls, media hubs)
Termination of security devices and central vacuum components
Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, work orders or reports to determine materials required or assembly instructions
Work skills:
Attention to detail, good communication skills for documenting activities, interfacing with builders and dealing with customers, able to work independently.
Experience:
Previous experience in low voltage communication installation in residential construction; voice data, audio and security
Qualifications:,
General understanding of communication terminology and technology, working knowledge of tools and test equipment typically used in the communication construction industry.

Requirements
- Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
- Minimum 2 years low voltage experience
- High school education
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Clean Driving Record
- Ability to pass a background check for DCJS License
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Works well with hand and power tools
