ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
LIVIC Civil is looking for a diligent and independent individual to fill a full-time position for an Accounting Generalist. As we continue to take on government contracts through PennDOT, this position will develop. The candidate should be flexible and able to adapt to changing activities and workloads. The Position is critical due to working closely with the Principals of the business as well as department Directors. The Accounting Generalist will have the opportunity to learn about all aspects of the work and operations within the different branches of Civil Engineering we offer at LIVIC. Our goal is to rapidly expand these responsibilities and for this individual to oversee, manage, and be a rock-solid liaison with our external Accounting business partners.

As of now, we employ multiple engineers specializing in Land Development, Traffic and Transportation, and Municipal. In addition, but not limited to, we have drafting professionals, landscape architects, a utility coordinator, a construction manager, GIS Specialist, and Survey Crew. This position is suited to a self-motivated, professional person who can confidently work with all levels of personnel including field, office, project management, and executive management within the Civil Engineering field. Strong communication and organizational skills are important to the success of this position. Enthusiasm to learn and develop with maintaining a positive, solution driven attitude. - Assistance with the company’s financial planning, A/R, A/P, P/R and budgeting activities.
- Maintains knowledge of organizational procedures, federal and state regulations, and accounting standards
- Review weekly time and expense entries to ensure compliance with FAR OH Accounting Procedures
- Prepare, Scan, and enter invoices into accounting software for approval.
- Code, Process, and reconcile company credit cards, verify subcontractor invoices with contracts
- Process daily bank deposits
- Assist with developing policies, procedures, and training material
- Assist with pre-billing, payroll processing, monthly statements, and PM monthly reporting
- Take lead in drafting, submitting, and tracking project invoices
- Support the accounting department and coordinate between external accounting business partners
- Follow up with teams / colleagues / vendors on outstanding information / materials as requested
- Other duties as assigned

- Strong PC Skills i.e. Word, Excel, MS Outlook, Virtual Conferencing
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to process large volumes of data entry is a must
- High standards of confidentiality to handle sensitive information
- Excellent Written and Oral Skills
- Flexibility to work additional hours and flex hours as necessary
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Business Administration
- 2 years of related experience preferred
- Experience in the engineering industry, and BQE Core Software experience is a plus
