Work Schedule : This is a non-exempt position. Specific days and hours are to be scheduled by the Employment Director / Manager to be scheduled according to the demands of the employment placements for employees with disabilities.
Training : The person in this position is responsible for completing 12 hours of pre-service, 12 hours of pertinent in-service hours annually.
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES :
Instruct, supervise, monitor and support employees with disabilities in employment which promotes and maintains work performance, integration and coordination of the services.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Train the supported employee's site co-workers to provide the necessary support and supervision to maintain the job demands.
- Provide support and training for transportation, as needed.
- Provide support to and participate in community integration activities.
- Implement and train the supported employee the necessary skills to maintain employment.
- Conduct detail job analysis and design community employment site.
- Develop and Implement communication process between the supported employee, employer and parent / residential provider.
- Design on-site training procedures and task analysis.
- Coordinate indirect employment services such as transportation, family, residential and case management.
- Complete any correspondence with MHD, VRD, Social Security or other service provider. Submit and document any financial and performance reports as reports as required Employment Director and funding agencies.
- Implement the training strategies for the supported employee to maintain employment.
- Participate in ISP activities to supported employees who are in community placement.
- Maintain records and operations as specified in the Oregon Administration
- Rules for Employment Service.
- Collect data, perform time standard and time studies and job surveys for the supported employee in accordance with Department of Labor (DOL) regulations.
- Provide feedback to the employment manager on status of employment with the supported employee.
- Conduct the supported employee and employer job satisfaction surveys when needed.
- Provide the necessary support to the supported employees to function at the job site (whether it be communication, toileting, medication management, or behaviors).
- Promote any social interaction / relationship activities between supported employees and co-workers.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Employment Services, as they relate to position responsibilities.
