Overview
We are seeking an individual experienced with a food service operation that caters to children and youth to oversee our food service for summer camp for the month of June.
Responsibilities
- Assist with hiring and supervision of the Food Service Worker
- Manage the kitchen operation
- Work with the Food Service Provider's Representative to plan meals and order food
- Check-in food deliveries
- Prepare and serve meals
- Utilize volunteers and camp staff to assist where needed
- Assure that meals are served on the camp schedule
- Supervise the daily cleaning of all kitchen equipment and the washing and sterilizing of all dishes, silverware, and utensils
- Maintain a proper and professional relationship with campers, volunteers, and other employees
Experience/Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of successful employment in a food service operation (Child Nutrition Program preferred)
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
- Serve Safe Certification
- Have a clear background check (run by Living River)
- References attesting to the ability to manage a food service operation, and work with others
- Proven ability to maintain proper and professional relationships with co-workers, supervisors, vendors and consumers
Job Type: Temporary
Pay: $30.00 per hour
