Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive pediatric care, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic illnesses in newborns, children, and adolescents.
- Conduct routine wellness visits, immunizations, developmental screenings, and preventive care.
- Offer guidance on nutrition, growth, and behavioral health, ensuring holistic care for patients.
- Collaborate with parents and caregivers, addressing concerns and providing education on child health and development.
- Supervise and support physician assistants and nurse practitioners in pediatric care.
- Provide urgent care and emergency medical interventions as needed.
- Maintain detailed and accurate electronic health records (EHRs), ensuring timely documentation.
- Coordinate referrals to pediatric subspecialists when necessary.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and clinic performance.
- Engage in community outreach and education programs, promoting pediatric health and wellness.
- Attend team meetings and compliance discussions, contributing to the clinic's mission and strategic goals.
Requirements:
- Medical License: Must hold a valid medical license from the Medical Board of California or the Osteopathic Medical Board of California.
- Board Certification: Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatrics.
- DEA & Furnishing License: Valid DEA registration and ability to prescribe medications.
- BLS/CPR Certification: Must be current.
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) Certification preferred.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred but not required.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills in pediatric care.
- Strong ability to build trusting relationships with children and their families.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHRs) and medical documentation.
- Dedication to pediatric health and wellness, with a commitment to serving underserved communities.
