Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including diagnosis, treatment, and preventive care under physician supervision.
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, medication management, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Assist in minor medical procedures as appropriate to scope of practice.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Stay updated on best practices and medical advancements, participating in ongoing professional development.
- Adhere to Living Water Clinic-Clinica Agua Viva’s mission and core values, ensuring a compassionate and culturally competent approach to care.
Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current DEA registration.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (required upon hire).
- Current and valid Physician Assistant (PA) license in California.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities to diagnose and develop treatment plans.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced medical environment.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and care coordination.
