Hospice Volunteer

Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate volunteers to support our team in providing exceptional care and assistance to individuals in hospice. As a Volunteer, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents by offering direct support, engaging in activities, and ensuring their rights are upheld. This is an excellent opportunity for those interested in gaining experience in long-term care, home care, or nursing.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities, promoting independence and dignity.
• Offer direct support to residents, including companionship and emotional support.
• Help maintain a clean and welcoming environment within the group home.
• Uphold resident rights and advocate for their needs within the facility.
• Engage residents in recreational activities and social events to enhance their well-being.

Skills

• Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to care.
• Experience in meal preparation or dietary assistance is beneficial.
• Understanding of resident rights and advocacy within a group home setting.
• Previous experience in hospice or home care environments is advantageous but not required.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
