Seeking Direct Care Aides for small residential care facility (approx. 30 residents)

All residents are independent with minimal assistance needed.

Open positions 6a-2p, 2p-10p, 10p-6a

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Aide to join our team in providing exceptional support to residents in a residential care facility. The ideal candidate will have previous experience and a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for individuals who require assistance with daily living activities. This role involves working closely with residents to ensure their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive environment.
• Implement behavior management techniques as needed to support residents with varying needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of resident living areas and common spaces.
• Monitor residents' health status and report any changes or concerns.
• Participate in training sessions and staff meetings to enhance skills and knowledge in direct care practices.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a retirement home, nursing home, or long-term care setting is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.
• Ability to manage challenging behaviors with patience and understanding.
• Must be able to perform physical tasks associated with caregiving.
• Certification in First Aid/CPR is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided.
