What You’ll Do as a Front Desk Lead
- Supervise and support the front desk team, ensuring high standards of performance and professionalism.
- Train and onboard new front desk staff, providing clear direction and ongoing guidance.
- Manage daily front desk operations, including scheduling, patient check-ins and check-outs, and maintaining patient files.
- Address escalated patient concerns with a calm, solution-oriented approach.
- Monitor and manage the appointment calendar, including confirming appointments, filling cancellations, and maintaining the waitlist.
- Ensure that front desk processes run smoothly and efficiently, optimizing workflows as needed.
- Handle administrative responsibilities, including inventory management (e.g., supplements and office supplies).
- Collaborate with management to implement and uphold clinic policies and procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk and waiting areas.
- Assist with special projects or clinic initiatives as needed.
What We’re Looking For
- Leadership experience in a customer service, healthcare, or wellness environment.
- Familiarity with functional medicine (personally or professionally) is a plus.
- Proficiency with computers and scheduling software; ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Comfortable handling escalated patient issues with professionalism and empathy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive patient information.
- Physical ability to work sitting or standing and perform tasks involving reaching and bending.
- Positive attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
