Full-time Early Childhood Educator

Job Types:

Full-time

• 8:30am-5:30pm(Monday-Friday)

*We are also looking for a Part-time , Monday-Friday, 11:00am-3:00pm.

Salary: $10.00 to $12.00/hour

• A desire to work cooperatively as a team to accomplish the goals of the Early Learning Center.

Job Description: Assistant Teacher

As an Assistant Teacher at LWELC, you will be expected to help manage the overall operation of classroom, which includes (but is not limited to):

• Assist the Lead Teacher and other staff in maintaining a safe and clean learning environment on a daily basis.
• Develop and build parental rapport with positive and professional relationships.
• Ensure safety and health of children by providing consistent, positive, caring environment to children in care.
• Gathering dishes after meals
• Light cleaning duties (sweeping, mopping, washing tables, etc.)

• Customer Service skills in interactions with parents and guardians
• Knowledge/experience in child development (preferred)

Requirements:

1. Must be at least 18 years of age.

2. Pediatric CPR and First-Aid Certified, or willing to obtain.

AND need to meet 1 of the 3 requirements listed below to be considered Lead Qualified per KDHE requirements:

• 6 months of experience in a licensed Child Care Center (ages 12 months to 2.5 years)

OR

• 3 credit hours of relevant courses and 3 months experience (ages 12 months to 2.5 years) in a licensed Child Care Center.

OR

• CDA (Child Development Associate)
