The Multimedia Specialist i s responsible for creating, editing, and managing multimedia content to enhance the organization's storytelling across digital platforms. This role involves collaborating with various (journalists, editors, and engineering) teams to produce engaging digital platform content that complements the work and mission of Central Florida Public Media, ensuring consistency and quality across all platforms.

Key Responsibilities
- Produce and edit videos, photos, graphics, and animations for use on websites, social media, and other digital platforms.
- Develop interactive media, such as infographics and slideshows, to enrich storytelling.
- Work closely with Digital Director, journalists and editors to identify multimedia opportunities for news stories.
- Participate in editorial meetings to plan and execute multimedia content.
- Operate cameras, lighting, and audio equipment for field or studio-based projects. Manage post-production workflows, including file organization and quality
- control.
- Maintain and troubleshoot multimedia equipment, ensuring readiness for assignments.
- Adapt digital journalism content for distribution on social media platforms, optimizing for reach and engagement.
- Monitor performance metrics to refine and enhance future content.
- Publish content to social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Reels, TikTok, YouTube, BlueSky, LinkedIn, etc.

- Technical edits to news stories from journalists to ensure compliance with digital standards.
- Publish news stories to website through our Content Management System
- Publish and maintain content on intranet sites (SharePoint).
