Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, contract administrators and human resources
- Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce financial reports or statements
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles
- Coordinate and assist with annual audits
- Provide recommendations to improve systems and procedures
- Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management
- Provide backup to departments to ensure daily operation runs smoothly
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required
- Proven experience as an Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor, or Finance Manager and overseeing a team of individuals
- Advanced computer skills on Microsoft Office, CCH Fixed Asset Software, LeaseCrunch and Sage CRE 300 is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to direct and supervise a team of individuals
