Job Summary: We are seeking a qualified individual for temporary work involving the safe and economical operation of light motor vehicle equipment. The successful candidate will transport people, make pickups and deliveries of small packages, supplies, and related materials.
Key Responsibilities:
Qualifications: High school graduation or equivalent and one year of experience in operating automotive equipment, or an equivalent combination of experience and training. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and possess a valid New York State driver's license at time of appointment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading vehicles;
- Assisting with packaging items to be delivered;
- Making regular pickup and delivery stops between various offices and buildings;
- Making other pickups and deliveries as instructed;
- Sorting and shelving packages, books, related materials, and supplies for future delivery;
- Performing general maintenance duties on vehicle and making minor repairs;
- Maintaining records and making reports relative to duties;
- Assisting in establishing routes;
- Carrying verbal and written messages between various offices and buildings;
- Transporting passengers;
- Performing a variety of errands requiring the use of a light motor vehicle;
- Performing routine clerical duties such as filing; and
- Performing janitorial duties such as sweeping, mopping, washing floors, mowing lawns, and shoveling snow.
