What are the responsibilities and job description for the Public Health - Environmental Health Sanitarian position at Livingston County?
Brief Job Description:
The Sanitarian is responsible for public health aspects of private water supplies, private sewage treatment, vector control, application of rules and regulations for food sanitation, public health disaster emergencies, health and safety hazards, and other special projects
Education Requirements:
Bachelors degree or higher degree in environmental, physical, or biological sciences from an accredited college or university; completing at least 30 semester or 45 quarter hour academic credits in environmental, physical, biological, chemical, or environmental health courses OR Bachelors degree in Environmental Health Services from a National Environmental Health Science & Protection Accreditation Council.
Preferred qualifications:
Licensed as an Illinois Licensed Environmental Health Practitioner (Must be willing to become licensed within 2 years of employment)
Experience in Public Health desired but not required.
