JOB SUMMARY:
The Emergency Department Clinical Coordinator assists the Director of Emergency Services and Emergency Department Medical Director in providing leadership, assuring smooth day-to-day department operations, and optimal patient experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supports and models behaviors consistent with Livingston HealthCares Standards of Excellence.
- Assists the Director of Emergency Services with providing leadership and motivation in the Emergency Department. Supports colleagues, works to optimize workflows, and improve satisfaction for patients and staff.
- Supports the Director of Emergency Services with clinical expertise and advice by providing input and support with the maintenance and development of guidelines, procedures, policies and required reporting.
- Works with the Director of Emergency Services and Medical Director to facilitate training and education opportunities to ensure best practices are being utilized.
- Assists with staff rounding and employee engagement activities.
- Assists with the yearly employee evaluation process, gathering input from other staff and providers.
- Assists the Director of Emergency Services in providing efficient communication and real-time daily feedback to Nursing and Tech. staff.
- Assists with chart reviews and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Participates in departmental projects and performance improvement initiatives.
- Develops proficient working knowledge of Cerner and assists in training clinical staff assuring consistency, compliance, and evolution of new workflows within the EHR (Cerner).
- Maintains and displays an appropriate degree of clinical expertise. Acts as a resource for providers, other medical staff, patients, and families.
- Bases decisions and actions on ethical principles and fosters a non-discriminatory, positive climate in which care is delivered in a manner sensitive to sociocultural diversity.
- Assists the Director of Emergency Services with interviewing, onboarding, training, and development of new staff.
- Performs other duties as assigned or as needed to meet the needs of the department and organization.
- Staffs two scheduled clinical shifts per week.
ADDITONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Attends all staff meetings and relevant organizational meetings unless prior excused.
- Attends all mandatory in-service classes.
- Completes all annual related educational competencies.
- Current knowledge of healthcare environmental trends.
QUALIFICATIONS (Required):
- Current Montana RN license.
- Five years of clinical experience.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities; able to remain calm and work collaboratively in stressful situations.
- Possesses good oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated interpersonal relationships in a manner which enhances communication, promotes conflict resolution, and facilitates staff development.
- Skills and knowledge to sustain and evaluate clinical competence in caring for the specific age and type of patient populations served.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- PALS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications within one year of hire

- Experience with Microsoft office
- Experience with scheduling software
