JOB SUMMARY:
The Urgent Care Clinical Coordinator assists the Emergency Services Director and Urgent Care Medical Director in providing leadership and assuring smooth day-to-day department operations and optimal patient experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supports and models behaviors consistent with Livingston HealthCares Standards of Excellence.
- Assists Emergency Services Director with providing leadership and motivation to Urgent Care staff. Works to optimize workflows, and improve satisfaction for patients, providers, and staff.
- Supports the Emergency Services Director by providing input and support with the maintenance and development of guidelines, procedures, policies and required reporting.
- Works with department director and medical director to facilitate trainings, and other education opportunities to ensure best practices are being utilized.
- Assists department director with staff scheduling and timecards.
- Assists with staff rounding and employee engagement activities.
- Assists with Clarity reports in follow-up and opportunities for education and improvement.
- Assists with the yearly employee evaluation process, gathering input from other staff and providers.
- Assists department director in providing efficient communication and real time daily feedback to Urgent Care staff.
- Assists with chart reviews and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Participates in departmental projects and performance improvement initiatives.
- Develops proficient working knowledge of Cerner and assists in training staff assuring consistency, compliance, and evolution of new workflows within the EHR (Cerner).
- Maintains and displays an appropriate degree of expertise. Acts as a resource for providers, staff, patients, and families.
- Bases decisions and actions on ethical principles and fosters a non-discriminatory, positive climate in which are is delivered in a manner sensitive to sociocultural diversity.
- Assists with interviewing, onboarding, training, development, and retention of staff.
- Performs other duties as assigned or as needed to meet the needs of the department and organization.
- Contributes to the Urgent Care Committee agenda and action items as appropriate.
- Works assigned shifts per week.
- Assists with staffing as patient volume necessitates.
ADDITONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Attends all staff meetings and relevant organizational meetings unless prior excused.
- Attends all mandatory in-service classes.
- Completes all annual related educational competencies.
- Current knowledge of healthcare environmental trends.
QUALIFICATIONS (Required):
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities; able to remain calm and work collaboratively in stressful situations.
- Possesses good oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated interpersonal relationships in a manner which enhances communication, promotes conflict resolution, and facilitates staff development

- Experience with Microsoft office
- Experience with scheduling software
