JOB SUMMARY:
Livingston HealthCare Pediatric Occupational Therapists provide evidence-based occupational therapy services in various settings including outpatient, in-patient, subacute (swing bed), home health, and clinic-based pediatrics. Each occupational therapist provides care in at least one primary setting but may be cross trained in other settings to help with OT coverage as deemed necessary.

Compensation:
- $35.82/hr DOE
- PRN Differential
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide ethical, safe, and quality care for patients per standard of practice set forth in the American Occupational Therapy Association Code of Ethics and Guide for Professional Conduct as well as the State of Montana Occupational Therapy Examiners Rules and Statues.
- Produce timely and accurate documentation of all patient care sessions, including initial evaluations with plan of care, daily treatment notes, progress reports/updated plan of care, and discharge summaries, within 2 business days.
- Supervise Occupational Therapist Assistants (COTAs) as directed by state practice act.
- Communicate with physicians and other healthcare practitioners regarding patient care and changes in patient status using appropriate communication outlets including email, message center, phone, Cortext, and verbal discussion.
- Attend monthly rehabilitation department staff meetings and other meetings that pertain to job.
- Actively participates in Performance and Process Improvement.
- Assist with maintaining a clean environment for patients and staff as needed.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Internal chart audits as requested by Manager of Rehabilitation Services.
- Livingston HealthCare required annual competency course(s).
- CPR Certification
- Completion of continuing education courses to maintain state licensure and to advance skills and abilities.
- Supervise COTA and OT students.
- Communicate effectively with teammates within the department and organization using organization appropriate tools such as email, phone, and text.
QUALIFICATIONS (Required):
- Graduate of an AOTA credentialed Occupational Therapist Training Program.
- Licensed or eligible for license in the state of Montana.
- In good standing with current state licensing board.
- Drivers license in good standing in State of Montana.
ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Preferred experience in pediatric occupational therapy practices.
- Positive attitude and flexibility during routine workday.
- Team player and cooperative with other personnel.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
