Nursing Home Activities AideLivingston Hills Nursing and Rehab Center is seeking an Activities Aide for our Skilled Nursing Facility located in Hudson, NY.Duties:Implement activities programs for Residents; focus on individual interestsWork directly with Residents on units; without direct supervisionOrganize and obtain supplies and equipment as requestedAssist recreation specialists & set up program areas as neededKeep daily attendance and document residents’ participation in activitiesAssist residents to program location and return residents to appropriate unitsBe familiar with established emergency proceduresRequirements:A positive attitude and energy are a must!Must have flexible hours to work nights and weekendsExperience with activities in a healthcare setting or college work in recreation therapy preferred Previous experience with a geriatric population preferredStrong computer skills necessaryAbility to work effectively as a team memberStrong organizational & planning skills; ability to multi-taskDementia experience preferredSome evening and weekend availability required
