What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler/Warehouse Associate position at Livingston International?
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency of our warehouse by performing shipping, receiving, and coordination of freight. Must be able to work onsite Tuesday to Saturday 8am to 4:30pm. Saturday 5:30am to 1:30pm.
Duties
- Load/unload boxes on trailers and trucks daily
- Maintain organization within the warehouse by properly storing materials in designated areas.
- Assist with inventory management, including conducting regular counts and reporting discrepancies.
- Follow all safety protocols in compliance with OSHA regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and maintain workflow efficiency.
- Coordinate UPS pick-ups
- Work with USDA inspector to review paperwork
- Check goods for damages, confirm piece count, review documentation, and sign for goods received
- Weigh and dimensionalize freight (UPS and airfreight)
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse or materials handling environment is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to use a sit down fork lift. Forklift certification a plus, but not needed. We will pay for certificaiton
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 60 pounds) and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
