Livingston Parish Public Schools is now accepting applications for the following

POSITION: Mechanic

LOCATION: Transportation Department - Central Office

CRITERIA

• Must be 21 years of age
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required
• Able to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (clean driving record, pass DOT physical examination)
• Experience in gas and diesel engine repair and computer diagnostics preferred
  
  

DUTIES: Duties entail inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing gas and diesel vehicles, including damaged mechanical, body, and interior bus parts; ensuring buses meet federal, state, and local requirements; performing the prescribed maintenance program of the bus fleet as assigned; maintaining and completing work orders with work completed and parts used; road test vehicles; maintaining a clean and orderly work area, keeping tools and equipment orderly and in working condition; and performing other duties assigned by the supervisor.
