Working under the direction of the Director of Corporate Security, this person is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our Pharmacann locations as well as supervising security guard personnel employed by Pharmacann. Essential Duties Security Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities and informing violators of policy and procedures.Maintains physical access to all Pharmacann locations including prox card access, alarm access, andkey access.Develop and implement security policies, protocols and procedures.Identify security deficiencies, develop solutions, and implement necessary changes.Maintain alarm schematics of company sites.Investigate incidents of suspicious activity, etc. and provide detailed reports of all findings. Compliance and Reporting Ensure compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations. Conduct Safety and Security Training for all cultivation, retail and production employees 1 to 3 times a year. Other Duties Recruit, train and supervise security guards.Ensure continued development of guards by implementing quarterly Individual Development Plans.Ensure all security personnel possess all applicable licenses.Create schedules for guards and ensure adequate coverage.Verify guards timesheets to ensure accuracy.Communicating with payroll to ensure guards hours and paychecks are accurate.Conduct site visits, to include security assessments, alarm testing and other duties at Pharmacann locations.Providing shift coverage in the event of a call out when no coverage is available.Ensure Pharmacann guards are following regulations and maintaining standards.Create a team culture and build good relationships between the security department and the rest of the Pharmacann organization.Perform various security audits.Creating and editing standard operating procedures, training documents and other official materials.Coordinate with other departments and outside agencies to resolve issues.Control budgets for security operations and monitor expenses.Other duties as assigned. Supervision Works under the supervision of the Director of Corporate Security. Job Qualifications Work Experience A minimum of 1 year of security, safety, or related experience. Experience working in a fast-paced retail, production environment with diverse clientele preferred.Demonstrated safety, security, risk management, and client service capabilities.Must be able to secure appropriate state and local credentials. Education High School degree or equivalent required.2-year college degree or related college coursework preferred. Proven success in the following job competencies Strong oral and written communication capabilities.Ability to work with team members and clientele to manage risk and ensure compliance.Strong orientation to teamwork and collaboration, ability to partner with managers on operational matters.Ability to deal with and resolve problems in a professional manner. Working Conditions Able to use a computer for extended periods of time.Able to move about a typical office, manufacturing, warehouse, or retail environmentAble to perform general office managerial and administrative activities.Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally.Regular and on-time attendance.Hours regularly exceed 40 hours per week.Occasional travel by conventional means to other locations as required.Schedule will consist of peak hours for location, must be available weekends and evenings.
