Job Overview
We are looking to expand our legal service offerings and are looking to find a dedicated Law or Business Partner to join our law firm or potentially to create a new endeavor with. We have a historic office building in Heber that is currently being renovated that we will be using to offer expanded legal services in the Wasatch Back area. The current owner of the firm has extensive experience in marketing and running a successful law firm and is looking to add other management or Partners to offer more services to clients. Currently the firm focuses primarily on family law. We are interested in expanding to offer Trusts/ Wills/ Estate Planning/ Probate and Business Services (including for non-profits). Potential candidates should have experience in one or more of those fields. This role requires exceptional negotiation skills, legal drafting expertise, managerial experience and the ability to manage complex legal matters while providing outstanding service to our clients.
Duties
- Manage legal teams and office staff in Heber, Utah office.
- Lead and manage legal cases from inception to resolution, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies and client needs.
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents including contracts, agreements, and pleadings.
- Provide expert legal advice to clients on matters related to Family Law, Estate Planning, Immigration Law, and Tribal Law Regulations.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff within the firm to deliver comprehensive legal services.
- Maintain accurate records of case progress and client interactions in the law office’s management system.
- Mentor junior attorneys and support staff in their professional development through training and guidance.
- Engage in business development activities to expand the firm's client base and enhance its reputation in the community.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in Utah.
- Proven experience in a law office setting with a focus on Family Law, Estate Planning, or Business Law.
- Strong skills in negotiation, legal drafting, writing, research, and case management.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex legal concepts clearly to clients and colleagues.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- High level of professionalism and ethical standards in all interactions.
