A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE
Our exciting and entrepreneurial culture will require you to think creatively, solve problems and meet the needs of our clients daily. A typical day might include the following:
- Responsible for PS&E design and construction oversite of water and wastewater related projects including but not limited to water and wastewater pipelines, water distribution systems, treatment plants, sanitary sewer collection systems, lift stations, and discharge permits.
- Production of schematics and Plans, Specifications, and Estimates for TxDOT and local government road and highway projects.
- Working with the leadership team to provide GEC/Program Management support to multiples agencies and TxDOT through all phases of the project development process.
- Self-performing and managing both internal team members as well as other consultants through a variety of activities such as programming, funding, env document review, design/design reviews, cost estimating, scheduling, construction oversight, ROW, utilities, and long-term operations & maintenance.
“MUST HAVE” QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Science Degree, Civil Engineering
- Licensed as a Professional Engineer (Recently passing the PE Exam will be considered)
- A TEAM first attitude with a commitment to leading a team with Integrity, Responsibility, and Perseverance
- 4 years of experience with MicroStation, AutoCAD, MS Office, and/or Geopak (or Open Roads)
- Some experience handling multiple deadlines.
- Effective communication skills to engage with upper management and engineering staff.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing work assignments and project needs, often on short notice.
- An open mind to alternative methods from what you have previously been taught
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE
- Previous work experiences in a management capacity
- Experience with utility design (Electric, Gas, Drainage, Water, Wastewater)
- Experience with water distribution systems, treatment plants, sanitary sewer collection systems, lift stations.
- Experience with ArcGIS, AutoCAD, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, StormCAD, SAWS CPMS, CIVCAST, COSA PrimeLink
- Experience with TxRRC, TCEQ, FEMA, USACE, TXDOT and Municipal permitting requirements.
