Summary: The Assistant Real Estate Manager is responsible for supporting Real Estate and Facilities by managing the real estate process for LJA offices including coordinating with external brokers and architects. Assist in the design, planning, and construction of LJA Offices. Working closely with project coordinators, construction manager and the facilities team. Position plans, budgets, and schedules new office projects and expansions to meet the company growth projections.
General Responsibilities:
- Deliver on a combination of various types of commercial real estate deals and projects to support a growing organization.
- Partner with local leadership to identify target locations and office requirements.
- Work with broker team to survey office availability, conduct site tours and make recommendations on proposed locations.
- Manage proposal, negotiation and lease process with brokers and internal departments to ensure leases are progressing between Real Estate department, legal, brokers and landlord representatives.
- Coordinate with IT, Office Services, Facilities to prepare to deliver projects while lease is in progress.
- Review all data, rent schedules, and square footage for accuracy.
- Assist with review and audit of CAM reconciliation annually and track to critical dates.
- Calculate monthly rent/operating expense and process rent payment report as needed.
- Contribute to team effort by providing information and helping others as needed.
- Assist with managing leasing needs of LJA portfolio of offices including landlord relations, routine lease administration as needed.
Required Education:
- BS or associate degree, Business Degree preferred.
Required Experience:
- Five years of progressive experience and responsibility in real estate, construction, or related fields
- Must have commercial or high-level real estate management experience.
