Summary
This position coordinates the design work for a project by applying engineering fundamentals under the direct supervision of the Project manager.
General Responsibilities : Ability to prepare Bid Proposals from QTO's and generate engineer's estimateUnderstanding of standard construction materials and choosing appropriate specificationsBe familiar with Agency Submittals / Approvals as it applies to the projectHave general mathematical skills to manipulate standard design formulasOther assigned duties as requiredRequired Education / Licenses :
Minimum of high school or technical school training with courses in computer-aided drafting or equivalent experienceRequired Experience :
5 years of extensive drafting and engineering technician experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D for detailed civil design site / land developmentEffective communication skills both oral and writtenEffective interpersonal skills with coworkers and public agency officialsModerate contact with outside agencies and project team membersAbility to build strong relationshipsMust be flexible to changes in work assignments on short notice and / or on a daily basis as changes occur
