Summary: We are seeking a CDL Driver & Field Technician to join our Telecom Division. This role combines commercial driving with hands-on fieldwork in telecom construction. The ideal candidate will have a CDL Class-A license (airbrakes required) and be comfortable working in the field, assisting with telecom infrastructure projects. Responsibilities include transporting equipment and materials, supporting field crews, and ensuring job site safety. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled driver who enjoys an active, team-oriented work environment. Hazmat endorsement is not required.
CDL Driving Responsibilities:
- Operate DOT-regulated commercial vehicles safely to and from job sites.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Follow all federal, state, and local traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness, report defects, and schedule required maintenance.
- Ensure proper loading, securing, and transport of materials and equipment.
- Maintain accurate driver logs and trip records as required by DOT compliance.
- Communicate efficiently with dispatch and project teams regarding schedules.
Telecom Field Responsibilities:
- Assist foreman and crew members with telecom construction tasks.
- Handle, transport, and stage materials, tools, and equipment at job sites.
- Perform general labor duties such as excavation, site prep, pole setting, and conduit installation.
- Support the installation of underground and aerial telecom infrastructure.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols and procedures at job sites.
- Be adaptable to changing job scopes, locations, and project needs.
Required Experience:
- Valid CDL Class-A license (airbrakes required).
- Clean driving record with no major violations.
- Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, drive prolonged periods of time, and perform physical labor in outdoor conditions.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in navigating routes using GPS and mapping tools.
- Must be able to work flexible schedules, including occasional overtime and trave
