Summary: Sr. Platting Coordinator is responsible for managing multiple projects within the local area and coordinating projects throughout the entire plat submittal and approval process.
General Responsibilities:
- Must be able to coordinate multiple projects, within the Houston, Harris County area, throughout the entire plat submittal and approval process.
- Must be able to work directly with other consultants, engineering teams, and clients to manage the platting process, schedules and budgets as they relate to the platting of these projects.
- When necessary, must be able to provide basic land planning and platting expertise.
- Should know the platting regulations for most agencies in the Houston, Harris County area.
- When required, must be able to represent the projects with the governmental agencies and must be able to present plats approval applications to the various planning staff, Planning Commissions, and City Councils for approval.
- This position will require some supervisory responsibilities and the ability to work with a team.
Required Education/Licenses:
- High School Diploma required.
- Associates or bachelor’s degree preferred
Required Experience:
- 5 - 10 years of experience dealing directly in the Subdivision Platting industry; either with surveying or engineering firms.
- Experience working with the local, Houston area and Harris County agencies.
- Knowledgeable, in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project software programs.
- Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D is a plus.
- Strong communication skills.
- Good organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships.
