SUMMARY
The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for production of land surveys and supporting documents through close coordination with the firm’s professional surveying and engineering staff.
A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE
Our exciting and entrepreneurial culture will require you to think creatively, solve problems and meet the needs of our clients daily. A typical day might include the following:
- Processing conventional field notes and digitally collected data.
- Analyzing field data, performing deed/utility research, and preparing final survey documents/exhibits.
- Interacting with survey field crews.
- Using new technologies including production of 3D point clouds created from data collected conventionally and with Drones (UAV), LiDAR, photogrammetry and Global Positioning Systems.
- Interpreting legal descriptions, survey maps, subdivision plats and construction drawings.
- Computing, processing and mapping field data in an organized and comprehensive manner.
- Performing QA/QC checks on work performed by self and others.
“MUST HAVE” QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma/GED.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working with surveying and mapping technologies.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Word, Excel and Outlook.
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE
- Experience with MicroStation ORD
- Previous work experience in an AEC related firm
- Degree in Surveying and Mapping, Geomatics, GIS or civil engineering.
- Training Certifications (CST, MOT, etc.).
