LJB Engineering is a national, multi-disciplinary engineering consulting firm with five main business lines which include : Transportation, Water Resources, Geospatial and Site Design, Buildings Structure Design and Safety / Fall Protection Design / Installation. Our diverse expertise, client base, and geographies have enabled LJB to serve clients in all 50 U.S. states and several countries.
We are seeking a qualified Project Manager for the Bridge Service Line at any one of our offices in Ohio. The ideal candidate will have 10 years of progressive experience and possess the professional and interpersonal skills to make a positive impact on our firm and the clients we serve.
The successful candidate will possess a can-do attitude, have a passion for and take pride in their work, be a creative thinker, and have a willingness to collaborate while having the ability to work independently. A strong existing professional network and experience with DOT projects will assist in meeting the job requirements as a client-facing subject matter expert and project manager.
Annual Compensation : $95,000-185,000 based upon experience, certifications, and regional market standards. This position is also eligible for bonuses.

BRIDGE ENGINEERING PROJECT MANAGER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Responsible for management, scope, fees, and the profitability of individual projects and project portfolio.
- Point person and firm’s contact with clients while functioning as project manager.
- Assists in new sales with clients for which they are managing projects.
- Guides and coordinates internal LJB transportation disciplines with sub-consultants and clients.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
- Possesses an understanding of all transportation disciplines and requirements as related to bridge design projects.
- Responsible for assisting Deputy Operations Manager in maintaining PM best practices.
- On larger projects, may or may not be involved directly in the design.
- Apprise Operations Management of employee performance on projects.
- Provide information to Deputy Operations Manager on future projects so they can manage staffing.
- Assist in informal development of other employees.
- Other duties as assigned.
