This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in real-world investigations, develop critical thinking skills, and work alongside seasoned professionals in the field. This is a two-year internship designed to help individuals obtain their full private investigator license. Key Responsibilities:
· Field Investigations & Surveillance: Assist in conducting surveillance operations and gathering crucial case information through direct observation, video, and photographic evidence.
· Witness Interviews & Statements: Engage with witnesses, victims, and other key individuals to gather firsthand accounts that can impact criminal defense cases. Learn how to conduct interviews that extract valuable, admissible information.
· Evidence Collection & Analysis: Work with experienced investigators to assess crime scenes, document findings, and collect physical or digital evidence that supports defense strategies.
· Legal & Public Records Research: Utilize databases, court documents, and open-source intelligence (OSINT) to uncover case-relevant details, including criminal histories, financial records, and background information.
· Case File Management & Reporting: Assist in organizing case files, drafting comprehensive investigative reports, and ensuring documentation is clear, accurate, and legally compliant.
· Courtroom Exposure: Gain firsthand experience in legal proceedings, learning how investigators prepare for and provide expert testimony in court.
Qualifications:
· Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to assess complex situations, identify investigative leads, and think critically in high-pressure scenarios.
