We are seeking a skilled and reliable Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic to join our team. This individual will be responsible for maintaining and repairing garbage trucks, roll-off trucks, as well as addressing other maintenance needs across our fleet. The Heavy Duty Diesel Technician we are seeking must be able to work independently, work as a team, be on time, follow instructions, and most importantly have a positive attitude, while also thinking outside of the box! The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to perform both routine and complex repairs efficiently. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance and oil changes on garbage trucks, roll-off trucks, and skid steer equipment in the recycling center.

Conduct maintenance and repairs as needed on all trucks in the fleet to ensure safe and reliable operation.

Diagnose and perform large-scale repairs on trucks that may break down during the day.

Conduct DOT inspections to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.

Identify and source necessary parts for repairs, ensuring minimal downtime for fleet vehicles.

Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues efficiently and effectively.

Respond to urgent maintenance needs and adapt to other repair tasks that may arise throughout the day.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed.
