We are looking for a skilled, detail-oriented, licensed land surveyor to assist the Director of Surveying. This role requires strong communication skills and leadership ability. The ideal candidate will be responsible for scheduling, planning, executing, and managing survey and mapping projects and geospatial data analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily scheduling and preparation of three survey crews
- Ensuring efficiency and accuracy in survey crew data collection
- Acting as liaison between Director and private clients
- Proposal writing
- Assist Director in the planning, management, and execution of survey projects
- Oversee the preparation of survey documents
- Processing survey files using AutoCAD and OpenRoadsDesigner
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Coordinate with multiple departments for survey needs
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in land surveying, mapping, and geospatial analysis.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D). Knowledge of GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) a plus.
- Strong knowledge of GPS, total stations, and drone survey technologies.
- Excellent leadership and project management skills.
- Ability to interpret and present survey and mapping data effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Valid NYS Professional Land Surveyor license

Pay: $114,500.00 - $119,000.00 per year
