Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our logistics team, specializing in LTL and FTL operations. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional customer support in a fast-paced transportation environment. This role requires an understanding of LTL and FTL operations, as well as the ability to handle time-sensitive inquiries, problem resolution, and coordination between clients, carriers, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate effectively with customers, shippers, and carriers via phone, email, and in-person to address freight inquiries, tracking, and delivery updates.
- Assist customers with booking shipments, addressing concerns, and resolving issues related to LTL/FTL freight.
- Maintain accurate records of customer accounts, shipment details, and communication logs in the TMS (Transportation Management System).
- Provide customers with accurate information about shipping rates, schedules, and transit times.
- Proactively manage customer complaints or disruptions in service, offering timely and efficient solutions while maintaining professionalism.
- Coordinate between sales, dispatch, and carrier teams to ensure smooth load execution from pickup to delivery.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in customer service within the transportation or logistics industry, preferably in LTL and FTL operations.
- Understanding freight classes, NMFC codes, and bill of lading (BOL) documentation is highly beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong phone and email etiquette with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience with TMS or logistics software.
- Ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment and type accurately and efficiently.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
