Job Overview:
As a Kitchen and Bath Designer, you will play a critical role in designing custom kitchen and bath layouts for our clients, helping them bring their visions to life. Your expertise in cabinetry, color schemes, countertop, and tile selection, paired with proficiency in design software like 2020 Design, Pro Kitchen, or Chief Architect, will ensure that each design is not only aesthetically pleasing but also functional and well-coordinated.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cabinet Design: Create custom cabinetry designs that align with the client's style, needs, and space requirements, ensuring proper layout and functionality.
- Color & Material Selection: Assist clients in selecting appropriate color schemes, including cabinet finishes, wall colors, and accents that complement each other and fit within the design's vision.
- Countertop & Tile Selection: Provide expert guidance on selecting countertops and tiles, considering durability, design trends, and the client’s preferences.
- Client Collaboration: Work directly with clients to understand their design preferences, budget, and functional needs to deliver tailored kitchen and bath solutions.
- 3D Design & Visualization: Use design software (2020 Design, Pro Kitchen, or Chief Architect) to create detailed 3D models, renderings, and layouts that communicate the design concept clearly to clients.
- Project Coordination: Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and other team members to ensure that designs are executed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
- Stay Current on Trends: Continuously stay updated on the latest trends in kitchen and bath design, including new materials, technologies, and design aesthetics.
Qualifications:
- Education/Experience:
- Degree or certification in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in kitchen and bath design or a similar role.
- Proficiency in Design Software:
- Strong proficiency in one or more design programs: 2020 Design, Pro Kitchen, or Chief Architect.
- Cabinet Design Expertise:
- In-depth knowledge of cabinetry, including various styles, materials, finishes, and hardware options.
- Material & Color Expertise:
- Expert knowledge in countertop materials, tile selection, and color theory, with the ability to make design suggestions that suit client preferences.
- Excellent Communication Skills:
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients, contractors, and team members.
- Attention to Detail:
- Strong eye for design and detail, ensuring that all aspects of the project come together cohesively.
- Time Management:
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines while maintaining high quality standards.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of current kitchen and bath design trends.
- Familiarity with CAD programs and other design tools.
- Ability to create mood boards or material samples for client presentations.
- Experience with project management or working in a collaborative, team-based environment.
