Overview:
We are hiring a Grocery Stocker Supervisor for a position at Whiteman AFB, MO. The position will be to train and guide the stocking team to stock shelves at a rate of 55 cases per hour and follow the commissary's Performance Work Statement. The job will be to hire, schedule, train, and work our stocking team in the performance of stocking merchandise to shelves at commissary.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate effectively with stocking members to coordinate stocking activities
- Load and unload merchandise from delivery trucks
- Use pallet jacks to transport goods throughout the store
- Stock items on shelves at a 55 case per hour production level
- Assist in shipping and receiving processes
- Perform heavy lifting tasks as needed
- Clean and dust shelves while stocking items to shelves. Breakdown boxes and get all trash off sales floor when finished stocking
-Front and face all stocked items and surrounding items while stocking
-Schedule stockers and do payroll
-Count and verify case count with Government and stockers
-Perform other duties, as assigned
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
1. High School Diploma (preferred)
2. One-Year experience in grocery stocking or floor care in grocery required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Ability to stock commissary shelves at a minimum of 65 cases per hour. Knowledge to learn how to stock properly and train other stockers.
Requirements:
- Ability to communicate efficiently with colleagues and Government
- Proficiency in multiple languages is a plus (Bilingual or Multilingual)
- Experience in grocery stores and services, stocking, floors, warehousing
- Capability to handle and move various products, including produce
- Familiarity with operating pallet jacks for material handling
- Strong physical stamina for lifting and moving heavy items
- Prior experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse environments is advantageous
