We are currently seeking a highly skilled motivated Automotive Buyer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing and acquiring used vehicles FROM THE PUBLIC ONLY, playing a pivotal role in our company's success and growth. The ideal candidate will spend 90% of their day prospecting out of our service drive and the other 10% buying street purchases out of their own network. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and follow-up skills. You must be detail-oriented, data-driven, and possess excellent sales skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The candidate will source vehicles by purchase as well as by trade in.
Key Responsibilities:
- Salesmanship: Likeability and determination in follow up to drive results.
- Vehicle Appraisal & Negotiation: Evaluate the condition, market value, and potential profitability of vehicles. Negotiate prices and terms with sellers to secure the best possible deals for the company.
- Quality Control & Logistics: Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to ensure they meet quality standards. Coordinate the transportation and logistics for purchased vehicles, ensuring timely delivery to our dealership or storage facility.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of vehicle acquisitions, including purchase prices, vehicle details, and associated documentation.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure a positive experience and repeat business.
